Cookie policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Gameweek uses cookies and similar browser storage on our website and in our games. It forms part of our Privacy policy.

1.What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature that lets a page remember information on your device. We mostly use local storage rather than cookies.

2.What we use

NameTypeWherePurpose
Sign-in sessionLocal storage (essential)The prediction game and the customer dashboardKeeps you signed in between visits
PostHogLocal storage (analytics)Our website (only if you accept the banner), the customer dashboard, and the prediction game and widgets embedded on customers' sitesA random identifier and session recordings, so we can understand how pages are used and fix problems. Hosted in the EU.
Cookie choiceLocal storage (essential)Our websiteRemembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we don't ask again

Our website, the prediction game, the widgets and the customer dashboard set no cookies.

Pages with a game preview show club badges loaded from Wikimedia and Sportmonks. When Wikimedia serves them it sets a cookie of its own (WMF-Uniq); Gameweek does not set it.

3.What analytics never records

Password fields are never recorded, and we strip sign-in and invitation tokens from any web address before it is recorded.

4.Managing cookies

The banner shown on your first visit lets you accept or reject analytics. On our website PostHog runs only if you accept, and you can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. You can also clear cookies and local storage at any time in your browser's settings, or block them altogether. Blocking essential storage means you will need to sign in again on each visit.
